ASDAN Customised Accreditation
TrackNAVCHALLENGE has been awarded customised accreditation of 6 credits for the personal skills of: communication, working with others and improving own learning. A joint ASDAN TrackNAVCHALLENGE certificate will be awarded to young people that achieve the 6 credits through: 'Plan, Do and Review' activities. Transfer of these credits towards other ASDAN accredited programmes will be possible where participating organisations offer other ASDAN programmes to young people.
Participating organisations will be expected to pay the costs for the above awards.
Recognition is also given to TrackNAVCHALLENGE by major examination boards such as: OCR, AQA, CCEA and SQA, regarding the relevance of the Challenge to examination subjects such as engineering and design and technology.
TrackNAVCHALLENGE is also an approved programme within the Learning Grid.
Although the Challenge does not lend itself as a tool to achieve formal GCSE qualifications, it does provide participants with a practical hands-on experience which enables them to practice and enhance the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in meeting the examination requirements. TrackNAVCHALLENGE also provides supporting staff with a tool to deliver substantial parts of the relevant specifications.
